Stepping into Bom Gosto is more than your average dining experience – it’s an immersion into the rich tapestry of flavors of four southern European countries.

From the octopus salad and whole chicken piri-piri of Portugal, to the classic French onion soup and filet mignon with truffle bearnaise sauce of France, to the arancini con mozzarella e prosciutto and pappardelle ragù ala bolognese of Italy, to the well-curated selection of tapas and paella of Spain – there is no dearth of choices in the culinary gem under the Vikings Group of restaurants.

“Our portions are for sharing so these are perfect for family gatherings or lunches or dinners with friends,” said Chef Jeddah Francisco who is at the helm of the kitchen of the newest Bom Gosto branch at Newport Mall.

Newport’s location has the flair of a modern bistro – the space created with the intention to allow guests to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and savor the simple pleasures of good food, good company, and good conversation.

“We can also suggest wine or cocktail pairings to complete the south European experience,” Chef Jeddah said.

Some of the restaurant favorites at the Newport branch include the Ossso Buco, a succulent braised beef shank topped with gremolata; the Bom Gosto signature seafood lasagna which is also Chef Jeddah’s favorite comfort food; rib eye steak that comes with marble potato, French beans and shallots; baked bacalao on a bed of potato confit and topped with sauteed garlic; and Chilean mussels infused in white wine.

Bom Gosto, in fact, is opening a third branch at One Ayala in Makati next month, proof that Filipinos have come to love the familiar taste of traditional favorites blended with a modern approach to cooking.
