Dennis Trillo feels elated costarring with Dingdong Dantes

Dennis Trillo admits that he could hardly sleep upon learning that he would share stellar billing with Dingdong Dantes in GMA’s latest prime time offering Cain at Abel.

“Imagine, it’s with Dingdong. It’s really one special project,” he says.

Touted as GMA’s Drama King, the good-looking actor has high regards for his equally accomplished co-star.

“He is the Kapuso Primetime King. I’ve admired him for the longest time both in the professional and personal side. When Cain at Abel was offered to me, I felt it’s a dream-come-true that I’ll share the frame with him. For one, the genre is action-drama which is so challenging,” he adds.

In a separate interview, Dingdong stated that he is also nervous to do scenes with Dennis. He doesn’t want to commit blunders knowing his co-star’s acting competence.

“He’s also a director and I know he’s meticulous in staging scenes. Dingdong is very professional and is dedicated to his craft. I guess, this material is a perfect collaboration for us,” he says.

Actually, it’s not the first time that they’re together in one soap opera.

In previous years, they did Twin Hearts, Etheria and Endless Love. But it’s only now that they’re the two main leads in the show.

“I feel this is the right time for us to do this because our roles are complex and require maturity. Had we done this when we were younger, it might be forcing through. It’s really perfect timing because at this stage, we’ve gone through a lot and are more experienced. I’m looking forward to learning new things from Dingdong now that we’re working on this project,” avers Dennis.

Cain at Abel is pitted against the more established Ang Probinsyano of rival network ABS-CBN which has been on air for a few years now. How does he feel about it?

“Of course, being under pressure is inevitable. At first, we had no idea as to the timeslot we’ll be fielded. From there, we really worked hard to come up with a quality soap which will fight in the ratings charts regardless of what show it will face. I’m confident with our material because it’s really good,” he asserts.

Bea Alonzo’s next big soap will have her paired with Richard Gutierrez.

“I’m thrilled with the idea,” she avers.

She couldn’t hide her excitement with such development.

”It’s our first time to work together. Finally, I’ll be able to see his talent; how he does scenes. It’s simply exciting because this is something different as compared to my previous shows. I hope the viewers will support it,” she says.

Meanwhile, the critically-acclaimed Kapamilya star is pleased with the good feedback on her recently shown potboiler First Love opposite Aga Muhlach.

“I’m happy and overwhelmed that the public liked it. Well, that’s our foremost intention anyway. Every time I do a movie, the goal is for the viewers to leave the theatres feeling happy and satisfied after watching it,” states Bea.
