The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Saturday said it intensified its efforts in the manhunt for Apollo Quiboloy and his co-accused in various sexual charges and other cases.

During a press conference in Quezon City, PNP spokesperson P/Col. Jean Fajardo revealed that the manhunt operations targeting Quiboloy have expanded beyond the confines of the Davao Region.

“We are no longer limiting our search efforts to the Davao Region. Even here in Metro Manila and other areas, we are actively pursuing leads to locate not only Pastor Quiboloy but also his associates,” Fajardo informed reporters.

She highlighted increased collaboration with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to confirm the fugitive’s whereabouts.

Moreover, Fajardo warned of imminent police action should Quiboloy fail to comply with the directive to surrender his weapons.

“If Pastor Quiboloy does not surrender his firearms, there will be corresponding police action. Once the resolution is signed by our Chief PNP, it becomes immediately executory, although they retain the right to file a motion for reconsideration,” Fajardo explained.

“But, pending their motion for reconsideration, these firearms, since his license has been revoked, are considered loose firearms and subject to police operation, if deemed necessary,” she added.

On April 16, PNP Chief Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil revoked Quiboloy’s gun permit, granting him six months to surrender his firearm under Republic Act 10591.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) recently disclosed that Quiboloy is still hiding within Philippine territory.
