Aksyon Demokratiko standard-bearer Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso has appealed to voters to support a “Mayor Isko-Doc Willie” tandem to ensure that their life and livelihood priority program will be implemented during the first two years of their administration.

“I get things done. I don’t have to give a timeframe. Since time immemorial, when I enter the government, I really try to excel in every field of undertaking. But my compatriots, as long as you give Doc Willie and me a chance, we will give our life and livelihood program in the first two years of our mandate so that we can help you overcome this pandemic. We will help you survive,” Domagoso said.

This was the response made by Domagoso to a question during the CNN-sponsored “Presidential Debates: The Filipino Votes.”

“Life is hard. The price of gasoline will go up, but we want you to feel that you have a reliable government, you can lean on. That is my dream for you. We can cross, we can survive this pandemic. Then there will be certainty and predictability in our policy in our management,” he said.

He said the reason he decided to run for president is to be of service to the Filipino people, particularly in providing work to the millions who lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“You know this pandemic, it teaches us a lot of lessons in life, even priorities in life. What is important to me, my countrymen, is how can you survive this pandemic? How can we provide employment to the four million workers who lost their jobs? The small businesses that closed, how can they recover? Please don’t close. How can the safety of employees be maintained?” he added.

At the height of the pandemic, Domagoso made sure that the 700,000 families in the city of Manila would not go hungry with the regular delivery of food boxes.

He also directed the construction of in-city housing projects, hospitals, school buildings and the 344-bed COVID-19 Field Hospital.

Domagoso said that like what he did in Manila, his Bilis Kilos agenda calls for smart governance, which promotes citizen participation and rapid delivery of services through automation and digitalization of government processes; and promotes transparency by making public data accessible to all in a format that is user-friendly, digestible, open, free and downloadable.
