Cops bust 7 suspects; seize shabu in Parañaque

Police busted seven suspected drug dealers and seized P5.9 million worth of shabu late Monday night in Paranaque City.

Arrested were Bablyn Cabueñas, 35; Edwin John Gonzales, 39; Ebrahim Karim, 29; Ronnie Bayao, 35; Omera Guimad Mohammad, 30; Amira Carel, 21; and Datu Rajabuyan, 19.

Seized from the suspects were 882 grams of shabu, a weighing scale, a sling bag, and the cash and boodle money used in the entrapment operation.

A composite team from the Southern Police District – Drug Enforcement Unit, District Intelligence Division, and Paranaque City Police Sub-Station 5 conducted the buy-bust operation at 159 Football Street, Lopena Compound Area 4 Fourth Estate in Barangay San Antonio around 11:30 p.m.

Police believed the suspects are members of a drug syndicate operating in the southern part of Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

The suspects are now under the custody of SPD-DDEU and will be charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11 under Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) before the city prosecutor’s office. Joel E. Zurbano

The prohibited substance and other confiscated evidence were turned over to SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.

The latest police operation came a few days after the arrest of a big-time drug dealer who was caught with P13.6 million worth of shabu in Makati City.

The suspect—Aldren Mariscal, 21 years old and resident of Pasay City—was arrested in a buy-bust operation at the corner of Evangelista Street and Arnaiz Avenue in Barangay Bangkal.

Recovered from the suspect were one plastic pack containing two kilos of shabu, two eco-bags, and P2,000 cash, and 898 pieces of P1,000 bills boodle money used in the entrapment operation.
