Over 900 jobseekers hired on the spot in Caloocan mega job fairs in February

A total of 909 job seekers were hired on the spot by partner private companies in the Mega Job Fairs held by the City Government of Caloocan in February, as part of the celebratory events for the city’s 62nd Anniversary.

The three job fairs were held on February 16, 22, and 29, and achieved a total hiring rate of 45 percent, way beyond the 30 percent success rate recommended as standard by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan commended the events for capturing the spirit of public service especially during the celebrations for Caloocan Day, but assured his constituents that more opportunities in the coming weeks will once again be available for them.

The local chief executive likewise reiterated that the job fairs reflect the intention of his administration to provide decent, accessible, and adequate sources of income for all those willing to grab such opportunities.
