Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla’s iconic character of Tolome is making a small-screen comeback joined by actress Beauty Gonzalez’s fiercer portrayal of his wife, Gloria.
Expect an even more action-packed second season as the Kapuso comedy-action series unveils exciting scenes for viewers to watch out for new hotshot villains to catch and new ladies that will have Gloria crying her iconic “Tolome!”
Speaking to Manila Standard Entertainment, Beauty spoke about how her character changed in the second season.
“First, I was nervous because I was going to do a lot of action, but at the same time, I was excited to explore different sides of my character and also my capabilities as an actor. I’m thankful for Senator Bong and everyone, including some cast members and our director. They guided me in my action scenes, keeping a close eye to make it look good because I’m a bit clumsy,” she said in jest.
“Character-wise, Gloria, now as part of a police unit, is different. She’s fiercer but still jealous,” Beauty said.
“Her character is more violent,” Senator Bong, who plays Tolome in the show, jokingly added.
“Her actions now perfectly fit her character. If you liked Gloria in season 1, you’ll like her even more in season 2. Our characters are reversed here, she’s now the police, so there’s a lot to look forward to with Gloria,” the actor and public servant continued.
The much-anticipated series follows the adventures of Major Bartolome “Tolome” Reynaldo, a police major known for his brave dedication to catching criminals. He is famous for fearing absolutely no one—except his feisty yet devoted wife, Gloria.
In this latest season of Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis, fans can expect an entertaining mix of new and returning cast members.
“We have a biggest now, it’s more fun,” Beauty mentioned.
Joining the cast are both returning favorites and new faces, including Carmi Martin, Jestoni Alarcon, Ejay Falcon, Liezel Lopez, Niño Muhlach, Dennis Padilla, Maey Bautista, Raphael Landicho, Nikki Co, Angel Leighton, and Jeffrey Tam. Special guest stars such as Max Collins, Kelvin Miranda, Herlene Budol, Dion Ignacio, Lianne Valentin, Celeste Cortessi, Mika Salamanca, and Sanya Lopez.
The second season also promises the adrenaline rush of Pinoy-favorite action stars like ER Ejercito, Roi Vinzon, Jay Manalo, Ramon Christopher Gutierrez, Antonio Aquitania, Brent Valdez, MJ Ordillano, and Michael De Mesa.
