Law graduates may now apply for the 2024 Bar examinations from Jan. 15, to April 5. the Supreme Court (SC) announced on Thursday.
In a Bar Bulletin, the SC said new applicants or previous takers who do not have existing accounts on the Bar Applicant Registration System and Tech Assistance (BARISTA) must create an individual account at https://barista.judiciary.gov.ph/.
“All applicants are required to complete/update their respective profile, fill out the application form, upload/re-upload digital copies of the documentary requirements, and pay P12,800 application fee exclusively through the modes provided in the BARISTA,” the SC bulletin stated.
According to the tribunal, within 0 calendar days from approval of the application, the applicants must submit their printed application forms and other mandatory requirements to the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC).
Applicants must also upload the digital copies and submit the physical copies of the deferred documentary requirements to the BARISTA and the OBC by Oct. 15.
The next Bar exams are scheduled on Sept. 8, 11, and 15, with Associate Justice Mario Lopez as chairperson.
A total of 3,812 out of 10,387 examinees passed the 2023 Bar examinations.
