The Taguig City government and the Department of Education (DepEd) have recently organized a program at Maharlika Integrated School to celebrate National Deworming Month and Handwashing Day.

The program aims to deworm 85 percent of elementary students from Kindergarten to Grade 6.

More than 300 participants, including students and parents, took part in the event held last Wednesday.

Mayor Laarni Cayetano showed her support by personally leading the handwashing activity and the distribution of deworming tablets and hygiene kits.

The Taguig City Health Office conducted various activities such as a handwashing exercise, storytelling, a deworming presentation, and a lecture on handwashing. The city’s new handwashing jingle and dance were also introduced by the Health Education and Promotion Office.
