Caloocan City Mayor Dale “Gonzalo” Along Malapitan reported the first-year accomplishments of his administration in his second State of the City Address (SOCA) held at the Caloocan City Sports Complex on Wednesday, September 20.

In his first SOCA, Mayor Along highlighted the immediate fulfillment of some of his campaign promises during his first 100 days, especially some stop-gap measures for existing issues at the time.

Almost a year later, the City Mayor placed an emphasis on the recurring and long-term projects of the city government that aim to focus on addressing local concerns in a more permanent manner, especially in the fields of education, health, and local economy.

“You can be sure that we will do our best to be consistent in the excellence that we have shown.

Mayor Along likewise recognized the role of his constituents’ continued support towards his administration’s initiatives and vowed to keep on repaying this trust by creating a better and more progressive city.

Mga kapwa ko lingkod bayan at mga kapwa ko Batang Kankaloo, sa tulong ninyo at sa patnubay ng ating Panginoong Diyos, we will make a difference and we will make great things happen to the historic and great City of Caloocan,” the local chief executive declared.

This year’s SOCA was attended by city government employees and officials, including Caloocan Representatives Oca Malapitan, Mitch Cajayon-Uy, and Dean Asistio as well as Vice Mayor Karina Teh-Limsico and members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod.
