Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar, along with and Social Housing Finance Corp. president Federico Laxa, has recently inspected an ongoing housing project in Pampanga under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Program.

Acuzar checked on the progress of the Crystal Peak Homes in Barangay Del Carmen in the City of San Fernando, along with other DHSUD and SHFC officials.

The project is situated in an eight-hectare land where around 30 condominium-type 12-story buildings will be constructed. It is projected to generate over 8,300 units measuring 25-28 square meters each.

“These site inspections help us monitor the actual situations on the ground, helping us not only to ensure the smooth and continuous implementation of the program but more importantly, assess the needs and propose improvements,” Acuzar said.

“We are deeply grateful for our partner local government units, our key shelter agencies, other agencies and the private sector for making this happen. As what we have said, we cannot do this alone… we appreciate your efforts. We have a lot more to accomplish and we continuously call on everyone’s support,” he said.

Mandated by RA 11201 as the primary government agency responsible for the management of housing, human settlements and urban development, DHSUD leads the implementation of the Pambansang Pabahay which aims to address the housing backlog in the country pegged at more than 6.5 million units.
