As one of the largest and most trusted digital transformation technology providers in the Philippines, MobileOptima’s Tarkie has vastly improved the delivery of service of some of the country’s most reputable companies through real-time visibility and service automation.

Two of its biggest clients namely Globe Telecom and Bounty Agro Ventures Inc (BAVI) recently revealed how the system has changed their operations for the better within only a few months of usage.

During the 1st ever Tarkie Learning Conference on Digital Transformation that took place last October 25, 2019 at Arthaland Century Pacific Tower in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, representatives of the two companies took turns in showing how Tarkie was able to not only significantly increase  productivity and profit margins but also dramatically reduce operating expenses.

Globe Telecom: The dividends of going digital

Now the largest telecommunications company in the Philippines in terms of subscriber base Globe Telecom uses Tarkie on over 2,500 technicians nationwide handling broadband installations and repairs. It estimates an increase in productivity of 12% brought about by automation and digital transformation.

“From having no proper verification and control if technicians did proceed with the customer visit, Tarkie became each technician’s personal secretary. Controls in the Tarkie App are placed to ensure customer visits are verified and valid via Selfie and GPS Tagging Check-in feature,” shared Addie Menes, Head of the Process and Service Excellence Transformation of Globe Telecom.

Menes added that Tarkie easily helped Globe save one hour daily, as dispatchers do not need to manually set-up the work orders and print them anymore. Technicians also do not need to line up every morning to get the manually printed work orders. Work orders per team are now automatically loaded in Tarkie every morning for quick dispatching.

“Globe also bid farewell to manual phone calls made every hour just to check on technicians’ progress and location. With Tarkie, real-time GPS tracking coupled with real-time work order status visibility are now made available for the managing team,” Menes further noted.

As a result, Globe was also able to save on overtime and printing costs as the company moved away from manual to digital paperless job order dispatching.

Bounty Agro Ventures Inc. (BAVI): Digital results in savings Agriculture giant Bounty Agro Ventures Inc (BAVI), the company behind the very popular Chooks-to-Go roasted chicken, uses Tarkie on its 300 field personnel, a mix of sales coordinators, auditors, engineers and veterinarians whose role is to visit and monitor its branches of over 1,500 nationwide.

“With Tarkie in the business scene, 280 field employees including sales persons, auditors, veterinarians, engineers and store maintenance personnel were managed intensively. 100 percent increase in store coverage wherein 10 stores is to one person is now 20 stores is to one,” revealed Milady Resurreccion, BAVI’s Assistant Vice President for Compliance Support Center.

“90 percent of admin tasks were now automated making the admin tasks only 5 percent of the time and motion per day from it being at 50 percent prior to Tarkie. Also, photos as proof of store conditions cannot be tampered. Tarkie records every field employees’ task with time stamp and geo-tagging,” BAVI’s Belinda de Leon added.

Empowering more companies

Pleased but not surprised with the success of Globe Telecom and BAVI using Tarkie, MobileOptima founder and CEO Rio Ilao said that giving companies the power of real-time data has always been the goal of Tarkie from day one.

“Through digital transformation and automation, we want to empower local companies with real-time data and visibility so they can make real-time business decisions,” Ilao noted as she articulated the company’s intention of enhancing the operations of more companies with Tarkie.

In addition to the inspiring case studies presented in the event, subjects such as eCommerce Revolution as presented by Jerry Ilao, Founder of Olern and MobileOptima, Tips on Going Global by Butz Bartolome and Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace by Eric Caeg, were also actively and vigorously discussed. Networking games were also conducted to give the guests the opportunity to build connections and expand their network in the business space.

Organized by MobileOptima in partnership with Seer Technologies and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Philippines, the 1 st ever Tarkie Learning Conference on Digital Transformation was a well-received affair with representatives of close to 100 companies in attendance.

With plenty of positive feedback, MobileOptima is now considering to conduct the Tarkie Learning Conference quarterly, as the company intends to continuously educate and empower local companies on the latest in technology and business growth strategies.
