My Furry Bestie

This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.

For contributions, please email to daycarlos28@yahoo.com and put My Furry Bestie as subject.

ANGELO was rescued by Jhec Victoria after a tricycle driver reported the puppy to them. Jhec and her family are known to be rescuers of stray animals in their  area.

The tricycle driver told them Angelo was hiding in the bushes near an electric post, afraid and confused.

Jhec believes Angelo squeezed out of a dog pound vehicle which roams in the  city every morning, then jumped out.

“He seemed hopeless when we first saw him. His mouth was deformed in a way that we think it was because he struggled to  get out of the vehicle, “ Jhec says.

“He was also drooling nonstop which means he was under too much stress and he was so afraid. He was so small that the fleas and ticks on his body stood out and could easily be noticed, “ Jhec says.

Today, there are no traces of the hardship and struggle he had to overcome, Jhec  says.

“He is now so cute and adorable that it is as if he never had a bad, very traumatic experience, “Jhec adds.

Jhec adds: “We tried looking for a foster furparent because I have a lot of rescued animals in my home. I thought that my tight budget for my rescues would be not be enough for all dogs if I will  keep Angelo.”

But  Angelo's charm and cuteness are irresistible that the family decided to keep him, Jhec says.

“We cannot afford to lose him. No regrets of keeping him because he gives joy and happiness that no one could ever fill, “ she adds.

“Happiness is everywhere whenever and wherever he is around. Baby Angelo is now a member of the family, “ Jhec says.

“No matter what life gives us, we will never stop caring for the poor stray animals in our care. Having a rescued animal is one of the greatest pleasure a man can have in his lifetime," Jhec adds.

She shares: “We human beings were designed in the image of God, therefore we must be God-like when we treat every creature on earth. It is one way of glorifying Our God because each creature is made by God to be loved and cared for. The rewards for doing so is loyalty and love from these animals you  adopted, and these are  absolutely priceless!"
