Award-winning actor, newest Kapamilya bet sizzle in ‘Araw Gabi’

Viewers nationwide warmly welcomed the start of ABS-CBN’s newest drama Precious Hearts Romances presents Araw Gabi on afternoon television and hit a national TV rating of 15.7 percent versus its rival program’s 13.5 percent, based on data from Kantar Media. 

Apart from getting strong viewership, Precious Hearts Romances series’ comeback conquered Twitter, with the show’s official hashtag #ArawGabiPagsibol trending nationwide.

The series features award-winning actor JM de Guzman returns to television opposite newest Kapamilya leading lady, Barbie Imperial.

In the series, Barbie is Michelle, a girl with a bright and sunny disposition. Despite the hardships in life, she manages get by because her Mamay (Candy Pangilinan) and Papay (Dennis Padilla) taught her to always see the good in every situation. She has her eyes set on bagging the Tranquila Resort account because will be a big boost for her career.

JM de Guzman and Barbie Imperial 

Adrian’s (JM) life, on the other hand, is full of darkness. He is the CEO of the Olvidar Group of Companies where Tranquila Resort, a vacation spot situated in El Paraiso, is part of. Because of a sin he committed 18 years ago, he is considered a beast by his employees and an outcast in his home town.

Michelle and Adrian start on the wrong foot and as the two cross paths again, Mich learns that Adrian is the owner of Tranquila Resort. Adrian rejects Mich’s proposal that crushes her hope for promotion at work. But Mich doesn’t give up that easy and decides to go to El Paraiso to research and create a better pitch.

As she sets foot on the island, she finds out about Adrian’s life and the mystery behind the lighthouse she has been dreaming of.

What is the relation of El Paraiso to Michelle’s dream? As Mich enters Adrian’s life, will she be the light that will make his live bright again?

Also joining the series are Rita Avila, Vina Morales, Ara Mina, Raymond Bagatsing, RK Bagatsing, Jane Oineza, Phoebe Walker, Paolo Angeles, Ysabel Ortega, Victor Silayan, Arlene Muhlach, Eric Nicolas, and Joshua Colet. 

The show, which premiered on April 30 is directed by Theodore Boborol, Don Cuaresma, and Mylah Ajero Gaite under the business unit of Ruel Bayani.
