EXPECT Christian Standhardinger to do whatever he can to further boost San Miguel Beer in the Philippine Basketball Association.

The top overall pick in the 2017 Draft is looking forward to get his hands dirty once he starts his duty with the Beermen.

The 6’8” Filipino-German will form a formidable frontcourt trio with stars June Mar Fajardo and Arwind Santos for the Beermen.

Given the talent-rich roster of San Miguel Beer, Standhardinger doesn’t mind doing the dirty work if his role calls for it to be able to help his team.

“I’m looking forward to do whatever I can to help the team. May it be rebounding, playing defense and being a presence inside,” said Standhardinger.

The National team mainstay is also excited to form an imposing “Twin Tower” combo with Fajardo.

“I’m just so excited to play alongside a great talent like June Mar. We can do a lot of things together,” he said. “I’m just so grateful that I can play in the PBA and for San Miguel. I’m looking forward to start.”

th Standhardinger’s addition to San Miguel Beer, most people now strongly proclaim the Beermen as clearly the most talented team in the league.

After winning the first two conferences of the recently concluded 42nd PBA season, SMB fell short of their Grandslam bid after bowing out in the quarterfinals of the Governors’ Cup.

Now, San Miguel will certainly be favored in every tournament in the season ahead with its big upgrade in Standhardinger.

San Miguel Beer dealt away three players, along with its 2019 first round pick just to get the first selection, where it ended up taking Standhardinger.

The Gilas standout, however, will first need to finish his obligations with Hong Kong in the Asean Basketball League before he can formally take his talents to the PBA.
