PAL set to fly Cebu to Bangkok

Philippine Airlines said it will mount a thrice-weekly service from Cebu to Bangkok starting Dec. 2.

The airline led by tycoon Lucio Tan said the new fights would serve the route utilizing PAL’s 199-seater Airbus A321 which offers Business, Premium Economy and Economy classes of service.

PAL said travelers from Thailand could connect to domestic destinations PAL flies to from Cebu, including Bacolod, Busuanga, Butuan, Cagayan, Caticlan, Davao, Camiguin, General Santos, Iloilo, Kalibo, Legaspi, Ozamiz, Puerto Princesa, Siargao and Tacloban. 

From Cebu, visitors may also take PAL flights to Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Seoul (Incheon), Singapore, Chengdu and Beijing (Peking).

The airline recently launched four-times-a-week service from Clark to Basco, Batanes, which is part  PAL’s development of Clark as a third hub of operations, following Manila and Cebu.

PAL will open three new domestic routes out of Davao – to Zamboanga, Tagbilaran and Cagayan de Oro on Nov. 1.
