FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano continues to be the most watched program in the country, its heart-pounding scenes bringing action and attracting more viewers nationwide than its new rival program.
Based on data from Kantar Media, the Kapamilya series recorded high national TV rating on Sept. 18 as it hit 43.2 percent, beating GMA Network’s pilot of Super Ma’am that only (18.7 percent). More viewers also tuned in to the Kapamilya series on the following night (43 percent) versus its rival show (17.9 percent).
The show, which approaches its second anniversary on air, also continues to garner praises from netizens every night.
More Filipinos were hooked on the gripping scenes as Cardo (Coco Martin) saved his fellow Special Action Force members Geraldo (Ejay Falcon) and Katarina (Louise de los Reyes) from being held hostage by Alakdan (Jhong Hilario). However, their lives are still in danger as Pulang Araw goes full force in hunting them down.

#AdoptDontShop. This is Heart Evangelista’s call to those who want to have pets, specifically dogs or cats.
In our recent conversation when we bumped into each other in Naga City during the feast of Peñafrancia, she said that she has been adopting stray dogs and cats and house them until she finds responsible individuals who want to have pets at home.
When she posts a photo of a puppy or a kitten she is putting for adoption, her followers on the social media race to be the first to have the kitten or puppy.
“Just look at her feeling all snuggly in this bed weather! Looking for good parents to #adopt this little#Aspin. She needs to stay indoors, have her own bed and get cuddle time. She’s really special and turning out to be the sweetest. Please let me know if you’re her angel parents…,” Heart says in her post.
The My Korean Jagiya is now known to be a dog lover. “And I hope more Filipinos will be responsible pet owners,” she said.
Also, she’s glad that My Korean Jagiya is doing very well on its timeslot as evidenced by the big numbers it’s raking in in the ratings.

Kapamilya star John Lloyd Cruz has been in the news lately. Quite sadly though, it is for the wrong reasons that he is being talked about.
Yes, one could claim that John Lloyd is simply letting off some steam and is just taking a break from all the showbiz brouhaha. This would have been all right, except that most of his activities while going through this phase are posted online and are made available to the public. Add to these his social media posts, most of which are unappealing—if not outright disgusting.
For those trying to defend John Lloyd, allow me to gently remind you that John Lloyd Cruz is neither your average artista nor someone who is still trying to find his niche in the industry. He is way, way above that. It wouldn’t come as a surprise if he commands a seven-digit figure or even more for each of his projects and endorsements. That’s how big a star – and a brand – JLC is.
But the John Lloyd Cruz we are seeing now is a very different man from the makalaglag-panty, almost perfect prince charming to whom the public fell in love with. And here lies the problem.
Will John Lloyd eventually wake up one day and revert to his old charming self? Or are we really seeing the real John Lloyd Cruz that has long been hidden from the public?
Because if it’s the latter, it would be interesting to know how would all these issues ultimately affect his image and brand. Will ABS-CBN continue to tolerate such changes in his behavior? As for his many endorsements, will the advertisers stick with such an endorser? We will know soon.
