Maserati has just globally unveiled the latest addition to its all-electric Folgore lineup – the breathtaking GranCabrio Folgore. This high-performance convertible joins the previously launched GranTurismo Folgore and Grecale Folgore, completing the Italian marque’s trifecta of electric vehicles.
The GranCabrio Folgore promises an exhilarating driving experience, with its powerful electric powertrain delivering a staggering 761 horsepower and 1,350 Newton-meters of torque. This translates to a top speed of 290 km/h and a 0-100 km/h sprint time of just 2.8 seconds, making it the fastest all-electric convertible on the market.
“Elegant, attractive, with a sporty and adventurous character, a harmonious and gritty synthesis of all that is innovation, without sacrificing the pleasure of a car with the utmost comfort and distinctive craftsmanship, GranCabrio Folgore is the first 100-percent electric convertible in the luxury segment and the fastest on the market,” Maserati said in a press release.
The GranCabrio Folgore boasts a striking Liquid Rose Gold exterior finish, complemented by a Titan Grey soft top and a sophisticated Denim and Ice interior with contrasting stitching. Beneath the stunning design lies cutting-edge technology, including an 800V electrical architecture and three powerful 300-kW permanent magnet motors.
Like its GranTurismo Folgore sibling, the new convertible combines high-performance credentials with long-distance comfort and elegance. The soft top can be operated at speeds of up to 50 km/h, and the inclusion of a neck warmer allows for open-air driving even in cooler temperatures.
With a range of up to 440 kilometers on a single charge, the GranCabrio Folgore offers emissions-free driving without compromising on the thrilling performance Maserati is renowned for.
