Mingyu from KPop boy band Seventeen and K-Pop girl group NewJeans will be joining fashion brand Calvin Klein as models for its upcoming Spring/Summer 2024 campaign.
According to Korean media outlet Allkpop, NewJeans, and Mingyu have been selected by the brand to be its models for the campaign with the hopes of reaching their fans all over the world who are in their teens and twenties.
Notably, Calvin Klein has been collaborating with famous personalities that have a huge following as its latest Fall/Winter 2023 campaign featured members from KPOP global sensations like Jennie from Blackpink and Jungkook from BTS.
Recently, Jungkook was featured as the face of the Spring/Summer 2024 collection with its campaign video showing him dressed in Calvin Klein’s latest denim and apparel collection at the Grand Central Station in New York City
NewJeans is composed of members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein who were also serving as ambassadors for luxury brands such as Chanel, Gucci, Burberry, Dior, and Louis Vuitton, respectively.
Mingyu had previously shot advertisements for brands such as BVLGARI, Louis Vuitton, Lancôme, and Laura Mercier. Mingyu is also an ambassador for skincare brand Innisfree. Some of his fellow group members from SEVENTEEN are also ambassadors for brands like DK for Bally and Vernon for Kenzo.
SEVENTEEN is composed of thirteen members with the other ten being S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Seungkwan, and Dino. They recently held their “Follow” concert last Jan. 13 and 14 at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan.
NewJeans is known for its hit songs like “Ditto,” “Super Shy,” “ETA,” and “Cool with You.” The group has also been recognized by several award-giving bodies like the Asia Artist Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, the Korean Music Awards, and the MAMA Awards among many others.
