Rizal’s second congressional district has a rich history dating back to the pre-colonial era. The area was home to numerous settlements and played a significant role in the Philippine Revolution. During the Spanish colonial period, it thrived as a center for commerce and trade.

However, as much as the past is significant to our communities, striving for progress and the future is equally important. Rep. Emigdio P. Tanjuatco III has led this charge in Rizal’s Second District, guiding the district towards a brighter future.

Rep. Tanjuatco III’s educational journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment to public service. A distinguished Ateneo de Manila University graduate, he earned his Bachelor of Arts for Interdisciplinary Studies in 1991. He continued his education at the same institution, obtaining his Juris Doctor from the Law School in 1995. This dedication to learning and his community is a cornerstone of his leadership.

Growing up in a political environment has exposed Rep. To this day, Rep. Tanjuatco III lives by his father’s motto “Dapat Tama.”

Former Congressman Ding Tanjuatco, Jr. has always taught his children to treat people from all walks of life with respect, kindness and empathy.
