Pagdanganan aims for more Top 10 placings in US LPGA

Bianca Pagdanganan is feeling confident following a great start in the United States’ Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour.

Bianca Pagdanganan’s training focuses more on ball control.
Making it to the top 10 in the Women’s PGA Championships and entering the tournament proper of the US Women’s Open made her feel  positive about her game.

“It made me feel confident about my own game. I am hoping to get more top tens than last year,” said the 23-year-old Pagdanganan, who was recently included as Smart Communication’s brand ambassador.

Next month, Pagdanganan will  begin her second year on the Tour by taking part in its opening event on Feb. 25--the $2 million Gainbridge LPGA in Orlando, Florida.

What follows is the $2 million LPGA Drive On Championship at Golden Ocala, also in Florida, from March 4 to 7.

“I have a long way to go. These tournaments are based on your standing and career money list,” she added.

Pagdanganan’s preparations with coach Carito Villaroman focuses more on ball control in an effort to get her to play better and improve her ranking.

The tournaments will also help her qualify for the Tokyo Olympics.

Pagdanganan is in the reserve list with Yuka Saso, who has a higher placing at no. 2. Pagdanganan ranks at no. 41.

Qualification for Olympics is restricted to 60 players for each of the men’s and women’s competitions.

“It’s important to know your goals, so that you will know what are working for,” added Pagdanganan.
