MEMBERS of the F2 Logistics are finally getting together after the Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championships in Ust, Kamenogorsk in Kazakhstan.

But it will be a shaky start for the Cargo Movers when the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference gets going this Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.

“It’s very hard. We are getting together as a team after the Asian Club in Kazakhstan,” said Cargo Movers coach Ramil de Jesus, who will try to steer F2 to another crown after winning it last year from Petron.

The Cargo Movers will have plenty of time to prepare as their first game will be on Thursday against Petron at 7 p.m.

The Foton Tornadoes, who are now coached by Moro Branislav, take on newcomer Cherrylume at 5 p.m.  today, while Cocolife meets Generika-Ayala later at 7 p.m.

Four newcomers are coming into the Cargo Movers’ rosters, namely Tin Tiamzon, CJ Saga, Shawn Lei Santos and Aduke Ogunsaya, spikers who are part of reigning UAAP champion La Salle.

Some of the leading players seeing action in the 2017 Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference starting today at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan link hands as a gesture of unity for the sport during Monday’s media launch at the Centrestage-Mall of Asia. Lucia Realty, Carmela Tunay of Petron, Gen Casugod of Generika-Ayala, Aby Marano of F2 Logistics, Jaja Santiago of Foton, Mary Ann Mendres of Cherrylume, Jheck Dionela of Cignal and Cherylain Dizon of Cocolife. The Tornadoes will play with newbies Nica Guliman, Heather Guino-o, Kyle Negrito, CJ Rosario and Roselyn Doria.

They will support star spikers Jaja Santiago, Maika Ortiz, EJ Laure, Ivy Perez, Jen Reyes and veteran playmaker Rubie de Leon.

“This team has gotten together only last February. We will see how they are tomorrow,” said Branislav.

Officials of the Philippine Superliga said half of the ticket sales will be donated to the medical fund of Olympian Ian Lariba.
