The 24-year-old Marcial said he chose Aranas to represent him legally because of his background, first of which is of his vast knowledge and experience in sports as president of a national sports association.

Aranas, is the current president of World Archery Philippines, the national association of archery in the country.

He is also the former president of the Government Service Insurance System president and an ex-deputy commissioner for legal affairs while with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Marcial said that with lawyers like Aranas taking care of his legal affairs, he would have no issues with his taxes.

Marcial attracted interests after he won a gold medal in the Asia-Oceania Qualifying Tournament in Amman, Jordan two months ago.

Among those interested in signing up Marcial for a lucrative contract are several US-based outfits and an entity headquartered in England.

But, for now, Marcial won't sign any deals yet, after promising the Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines that he will wait until after the Olympics before turning pro.

Mas nagkaroon po ako ng confidence na magiging successful ako hindi lang as boxer kungdi as someone na magkakaroon ng business dealings dahil may isang lawyer po ako na makakasama at mapapagkatiwalaan,” said Marcial.
