League-leader TNT KaTropa looks to continue its scorching start as it shoots for a fifth straight win when it plunges back into action in the 2019 Philippine Basketball Association Governors’ Cup.

The Tropang Texters (4-0) put their unbeaten streak on the line when they face NorthPort (1-3) at 4:30 p.m. at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.

In the nightcap at 7 p.m., two ailing teams go head-to-head as Rain or Shine (1-3) and Phoenix (1-4) clash.

With import KJ McDaniels fitting in like a glove, TNT is enjoying another rousing start.

However, the KaTropa was well tested in its last game before it escaped with a 125-120 win over gutsy Columbian last Saturday.

TNT star Jayson Castro still sees something to improve on even as they aim for more success.

“I think we still need to improve our defense pa,” said Castro. “We could’ve lost our last game down the stretch, luckily we held on.”

The Texters are bound to face a NorthPort side which has been struggling to regain its form from last conference.

The Batang Pier is on a tail-end of a three-game slide after winning its conference opener.

At this point, the Elasto Painters and the Fuel Masters, both near the bottom, are in dire need of a win to keep their hopes up of making the top eight.

Both squads are on a two-game losing streak.
