This brings the tally to 37 scheduled calendar of events in the coming biennial meet.

Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President Abraham Tolentino said this as he kept tabs on discussions with organizers of the SEA Games.

These are among the events which member countries like Indonesian has proposed.

And organizers of the SEA Games are looking to adding a total of four more sports to the 36 that were already agreed upon. This will increase the total number to 40 if this happens.

The figures reached 36 during a virtual meeting of the 11 Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) members on July 21.

More events could be added as member nations continue to appeal for the inclusion of other sports.

There were a total of 56 events which were contested in the 30th SEA Games edition in the Philippines last year.

This includes the two compulsory sports of athletics and aquatics, which has swimming and diving events.
