TOP Philippine bets Hagen Topacio and Eric Ang scored a final total of 116 and 111, respectively, in the men’s trap event of the International Shooting Sports Federation’s Final Olympic Qualification Championship in Doha, Qatar.
Topacio and Ang are in 69th and 111th places, trying to stay in contention for the Paris games from a total of 141 participants.
Philippine National Shooting Association secretary general Iryne Garcia said Topacio was leading along with four others with perfect scores 50 out 50 after the first day of a three-day Olympic trap event.
Ang was at no. 99 with a score 45 out of 50 on Day 1.
Garcia said they also await the outcome of skeet shooter Enrique Enriquez’s campaign.
