APAC Predator League thrusts PH into global esports spotlight

Who will take the coveted Predator Shield and the top prize of out of the $200,000 cash pot?

The two-day Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals began on Saturday and will end on Sunday with the final winners emerging out of the tough competition in DOTA 2 and VALORANT that featured the best 26 teams in the region.

“The event put Manila on the global esports map,” said Princess Leosantos, Senior Marketing Manager of host Acer Philippines.

“We have prepared very hard to give esports players, fans, and enthusiasts two days filled with excitement and surprises and make sure Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals will showcase world-class gaming, music, and entertainment.”

“Predator League is the stomping ground of the region’s up-and-coming esports talents. We are excited to see who is hungry enough for the victory to overcome the competition and win the Predator Shield,” added Sue Ong Lim, General Manager of Acer Philippines.

Top-tier Filipino esports teams such as Blacklist International, Execration, and defending champions Polaris Esports, alongside the winners of the Philippine qualifiers, Made in Philippines, are vying for supremacy in Dota 2.

Meanwhile, in VALORANT, renowned teams like Team Secret, Oasis Gaming, and ZOL Esports, winners of the Philippine Finals, are ready for an epic showdown.

Beyond the gaming arena, the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals featured live performances by Acer ambassadors Sarah Geronimo and SB19, who brought the “Ace Your World” anthem to life on the first day on Saturday. The lineup also included rapper Felip, Paradise Rising artist Ylona Garcia, Urbandub, Al James, and UPeepz, creating a unique blend of esports and entertainment.

Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 offers the Grand Finals winners the coveted Predator Shield and the lion’s share from the $200,000 prize pool.

The live-streamed song “#AceYourWorld” on YouTube, composed by the talented duo Radkidz, set the stage for a groundbreaking esports event.

On Sunday, the sold-out crowd is regaled to the electrifying performances from KZ Tandingan, Sandwich, Franco, Spongecola, Manila Symphony Orchestra, Daloy Dance Company, Josh Cullen, and Pablo, marking a spectacular conclusion to the Grand Finals.

Adding a personal touch, Predator ambassadors Cong TV and the Team Payaman boys, including burg, KuyaNic, Chibiby, Maggiekarp, amaratv, Een Mercado, Kang Dupet, and Alodia Gosiengfiao, engaged with fans during meet-and-greet sessions on both days.
