The 6’1” Thompson was the one who approached former Far Eastern University coach Olsen Racela to become the new mentor of the Altas for season 99.

Racela is returning as coach after handling the FEU Tamaraws in the UAAP for five seasons from 2017 to 2022.

“I will also help and assist him (Racela),” said Thompson on his numerous roles with the Altas.
