Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang is now looking to settle down in one place as he intends to represent Soma Fight Club moving forward.

The strawweight rising star said that he’s leaving his nomadic ways and is now just finalizing his move to Bali while he awaits his next challenger.

“I’m moving to Bali. Nakapagset na ako to join them and really represent Soma,” he said.

Adiwang has been on a gym-hopping sojourn of sorts after leaving Team Lakay.

He first joined Hiit Studio for his comeback match, needing just 23 seconds to dismantle Adrian “Papua Badboy” Mattheis at ONE Friday Fights 34 back in September.

Adiwang then joined Soma Fight Club and scored a redemption win over Jeremy “The Jaguar” Miado via unanimous decision at ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade last November.

Uncanny as it was, Thunder Kid said that this broadened his arsenal as he got exposed to a phalanx of training partners and coaches.

“I look at the bright side. Mahirap, pero na-challenge ako sa trainings namin na naka-train ako with iba’t ibang athletes, nakasalamuha ako ng international coaches na natulungan ako from strikes, wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and really taught me new things. Yun talaga yung positive sa ginawa ko,” he stated.

Unfortunately, names in Adiwang’s wishlist in Gustavo “El Gladiator” Balart and Hiroba Minowa are already out of the picture with the two ranked fighters booked for a clash at ONE 166: Qatar on March 1 at Lusail Sports Arena.

Nonetheless, he’s pumped to see that match, calling his shot for the winner of that bout, saying, “Hihintayin ko na lang kung sinong mananalo sa dalawang yun. It’s a good match kung sino man ang manalo sa kanila if they go up against me.”

This also makes Adiwang only hungrier as he eyes to make another push to the top five of the ONE Athlete Rankings and once again barge into the conversation among the legitimate contenders for the ONE Strawweight MMA World Championship.

“Ang ie-expect natin is sa 2024, I’m giving my all here. Wala akong pina-promise pero expect that I’ll give my all every time inside the ring. Di ko lang chine-chase yung panalo but I want to give an entertaining fight,” he said.
