Catherine took to ‘CIA with BA’ to complain about Mike, her ex-partner who was trying to deny being the father of their one-year-old child.
The two shared their respective sides in the ‘Case 2 Face’ segment of the show’s episode on Sunday, February 4.
According to Catherine, she fell in love with Mike even though she’s older. When she found out that she was pregnant, Mike did not easily accept it.
For his part, Mike claimed that it is impossible for him to be the father of the child because Catherine delivered the baby in her eighth month.
To help the two confirm, ‘CIA with BA,’ with the help of experts, conducted a DNA test.
Before the reveal, Senator Pia Cayetano read to them what parents and guardians must do based on Article 220 of the Family Code such as to care for their children, to give love and support, to teach them good values, to protect them from harm, to make important decisions for them, to discipline them when necessary, and to follow any other legal duties.
Ate Pia then read the DNA test result which showed that there is a 99.999999% probability that Mike is the father of the child.
Emotional, Catherine couldn’t help but cry as a sign of relief. Mike, meanwhile, said he will take the responsibility but needs to process everything, including his thoughts.
‘CIA with BA’ also pledged to help them with their transition.
“Sometimes, we hold on to something. Pero ‘pag hindi mo binitawan, hindi mailalagay ‘yung mas mabuti para sa ‘yo,” Senator Alan Peter Cayetano said as he concluded the episode.
“If you’re holding on to something na tingin mo ‘yan ‘yung absolute kaligayahan, pero nakikita mo [rin] na parang hindi, bitawan mo. Baka ‘yung para sa ‘yo ay makikita mong eto talaga ‘yung para sa ‘yo,” he added.
The program carries on the legacy of Senator Rene Cayetano, the late father of the sibling senators. The senior Cayetano was a renowned lawyer who gained fame through his radio and TV program ‘Compañero y Compañera,’ which aired from 1997 to 2001.
