Global music sensation Taylor Swift took to social media to express her gratitude for her fans’ avid support as her 11th studio album “The Tortured Poets Department” reached 2.61 million sales a week after it was released, debuting at the top spot of the Billboard 200 albums chart.

“My mind is blown. I’m completely floored by the love you’ve shown this album. 2.6 million ARE YOU ACTUALLY SERIOUS?? Thank you for listening, streaming, and welcoming Tortured Poets into your life. Feeling completely overwhelmed,” said Swift in her post on Instagram.

In the post, Swift also shared a few photos of herself during the recording sessions for the double album’s whopping 31 tracks and photos together with singer Post Malone and Florence and the Machine lead vocalist Florence Welch, both of which were featured artists for “Fortnight” and “Florida!!!” respectively.

Swift added that she was excited to continue the next leg of her record-breaking “Eras Tour” on May 9 at the Paris La Defense Arena in France following her break after her show at the Singapore National Stadium last March 9.

“I was already so fired up to get back to the tour but you doing THIS?? May 9th can’t come soon enough,” the singer-songwriter said.

The success of “The Tortured Poets Department” in its first week beat Swift’s own record of 1.359 million copies sold in the US a week after the album’s release, which was by her “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” album according to CNN Entertainment.

Swift first released her record-breaking album on April 19 with only 16 tracks. Two hours later, she released “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” which had 15 extra songs, much to the surprise of many fans.
