Singer-songwriter and actress Ariana Grande has revealed that there are upcoming music videos for songs in her recently released album, ‘Eternal Sunshine.”
In a post on her Instagram account, Grande shared a clip from the official music video for “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)” which features her alongside actor Evan Peters.
In the post’s caption, the singer said that she was set to make more music videos with director Christian Breslauer, who directed the music video for “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love).”
Grande added that the music video already embodied the whole album’s themes for her and she took the time to thank Breslauer for his work.
“Thank you for creating such a safe space, for holding my hand, and for thoughtfully bringing this entire album to life with this one video,” Grande said in the post’s caption.
Grande also expressed her gratitude to the entire crew who helped in producing the entire video.
“A tremendous thank you to the incredible crew who made this what it is,” she said.
The music video for “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)” involved several references to the 2004 film “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” which was directed by Michel Gondry and starred Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet.
Prior to its release, Grande had posted several teasers on her Instagram, including her look for the music video which referenced an outfit Winslet’s character wore in the film. She had also shared several behind-the-scenes photos on the set for the music video following its premiere.
Breslauer had previously directed the music video for Grande’s “Yes, And?” which was the first single for “Eternal Sunshine.” He is known for directing music videos for other artists such as Doja Cat, Lizzo, SZA, John Legend, Charlie Puth, The Weeknd, Lil Nas X, and many others.
Details regarding the next music video that will be released have yet to be revealed.
