Three members of the popular K-pop girl group Red Velvet will be gracing the New Year’s countdown festivities at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig on December 31.

The announcement was made on Bonifacio High Street’s official Facebook Page, confirming that Irene, Seulgi, and Wendy will join the celebration. This announcement comes as much-awaited excitement for fans who haven’t seen the group perform in the Philippines since their R to V tour last May 8.

Red Velvet Irene&Neulgi, who debuted with their monster-hit EP Monster in 2020, are expected to captivate the crowd with their electrifying energy. Seulgi, who also embarked on a successful solo career in 2022, is sure to bring her unique charm and vocal prowess to the stage. Meanwhile, Irene, who released the heartfelt ballad “A White Night” for the film “Double Patty” in 2021, will likely tug at the heartstrings of fans with her emotional vocals.

Adding to the excitement is the presence of OPM icons Ely Buendia and KZ Tandingan, alongside popular Gen Z artists Zack Tabudlo and Adie. The diverse musical styles of local artists promise a night of unforgettable performances.

The clues leading up to the announcement were cleverly crafted, with Bonifacio High Street teasing fans with emojis representing the Red Velvet members’ animal mascots—a dancing woman in a red dress and a cupcake, a bunny, a bear, and a squirrel that indicate each of the three members. The phrase “They got us feeling like a psycho” further heightened the anticipation for the reveal.
