Others win in games, but this girl is bringing wins in-game.

For the 4th Anniversary of Call of Duty Mobile, the most popular Mobile FPS in the Philippines, features an original song written by Myrtle Sarrosa, along with Brian Lotho and Rangel Fernandez.

The song is featured globally in the Call of Duty servers of Call of Duty Mobile, showcasing the international presence of Filipinos in gaming.

For gamers, the lobby music is the track that sets the mood before the game, and who would have thought that the song in Call of Duty was written and sung by Filipino gamers?

The song is performed by Myrtle, Sharlene San Pedro, Doc Z, and Patricia Reyes, who are collectively some of the most popular gaming streamers in the Philippines for the mobile gaming genre.

The music video is currently nearing one million views and has been featured in Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia, and it is available on the game globally. It’s an amazing feat that it was written by a gamer for gamers.

Apart from “In The Zone,” Myrtle also wrote two other songs for Call of Duty: “Ready Set” and “Better Run,” which garnered millions of views for Call of Duty Warzone 2 and Call of Duty Mobile.

She is one of the most successful gaming content creators and cosplayers in Southeast Asia, with 4.5 million followers on Facebook, 1.6 million on TikTok, and 1.2 million on Instagram. She also won the TikTok Award for Gaming in 2022, the Philippine Esports Award for Best Cosplayer in 2023, and the Cosplayer of the Year Award at the VP Choice Awards.

Myrtle doesn’t just play games, she also works behind the scenes as a contributor for international game developers. Earlier this year, Myrtle spoke at the Game Developers Conference 2023 in San Francisco about her contributions to WeMade Games and the creation of the Fan Token.

She was also recently part of the HoyoFest Live Action Video filmed in Indonesia for Genshin Impact, where she played the lead role of Layla.

Myrtle began cosplaying in 2009 and became the host of HeroTV. She also won the reality show Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 4, which launched her career in television.

In gaming, she competitively played as the Guild Leader and founder of the Exodiac Guild, the No. 1 Filipino Guild in Ragnarok Mobile. She has participated in competitive gaming across various titles, including PUBG Mobile Stars in 2018, a PUBG Showmatch in Thailand in 2019, the Apex Mobile Showmatch in 2021, and the Diablo IV Showmatch as the Philippine representative.

Apart from actively creating gaming content and streaming, Myrtle is also filming as the kontrabida (antagonist) in the upcoming afternoon show of GMA Public Affairs titled Makiling, alongside Derrick Monasterio, Elle Villanueva, and Kristoffer Martin. This marks her second television drama following her move to GMA.
