In Regal Entertainment’s post-Valentine offering directed by Joy Aquino, Kapamilya stars Jane Oineza and RK Bagatsing are reunited to play the lead roles.
Entitled Us Again, the romantic drama tackles the value of savoring the moment, taking risks, giving oneself a second chance to be happy again.
“It’s nice to have RK on the set. I’m comfortable to work with him because we already know each other. He’s such a gentleman, I must say,” Jane shared during the film’s media conference held at 38 Valencia Events Place.
“I am happy to have a new project with Regal and to work with Jane, who is a very good actress. We are both happy and excited after seeing the trailer,” RK said in turn.
Jane and RK’s last project together was the series Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Araw Gabi.
In the movie, the two actors are required to do love scenes.
How did they prepare for these scenes?
“Aside from brushing my teeth, we had an in-depth discussion with Direk Joy how the scene would go, where the characters came from, and saan pupunta yung kwento after,” RK started.
“Wala naman pong preparation. It’s part of our job as actors,” Jane responded.
Did they get affected by their intimate scenes?
“No. Comfortable naman po ako with RK,” Jane clarified.
RK echoed his leading lady’s answer: “At the end of the day, you have a job to do and a story to tell. It’s my responsibility to make my scene partner feel safe in every scene that we do.”
In the movie, Jane is Margie, a 28-year-old unfulfilled medical technician. She tries to rebuild her life each day as cautious and as indifferent as possible, to avoid getting derailed again and go through another heartbreak. She once dreamt of becoming a doctor, but wrong choices and impulsive decisions sent all her hopes to the drain.
Meanwhile, Mike (RK), a graphic artist from the States, returns and wants to make amends with Margie.
Five years ago, Mike and Margie started an affair, something they thought was perfect and true. Yet, shortly after, they realize what a mistake it was, and both of them suffered consequences. Now, Margie does not know why Mike would want to reconcile, or why he had to return, to begin with.
Us Again, which unspools in cinemas nationwide on Feb. 26, also introduces Jin Macapagal, Sarah Edwards, also starring Eda Nolan, Miko Gallardo, Clara Del Rosario, Minnie Nato, Veronica Reyes, and Phiona Raymundo as members of the cast.
