Have you, women, ever had your hair done by a male hairdresser? Of course! That is the usual answer. But, ask them again, “Have you ever had your hair done by a male hairdresser who is not gay? Perhaps they guffaw in disbelief and scream, “What?”

Well, GMA-7 has a comedy show that features a male hairdresser and he isn’t gay. The show is called Conan My Beautician.

Gathering today’s most talented comedians to complete a stellar cast top-billed by Mark Herras and Miss World 2013 Megan Young, GMA-7’s newest comedy series, Conan My Beautician gives a laugh treat every Sunday to the whole family starting June 26.

Meet Conan (Mark Herras)—handsome, tattooed, and the most talented beautician of Salon Paz.  But he is straight.

Conan has to pretend he is gay to be able to work for the salon. He needs the job badly to save the life of his hospitalized mother and to make both ends meet for their family after being thrown away from their hometown by the ugly-mannered Chika La Chaka (Cacai Bautista).

When Conan meets Ava (Megan Young), the bride whom he was supposed to work on in a makeup gig, Conan falls in love.

Joining the cast are Lotlot De Leon, Jay Manalo, Balang (You Tube Video Sensation who made a guest appearance with Ellen De Generes in her show of the same title), Chlaui Malayao (from Little Nanay), Vangie Labalan, and Antonette Garcia.

Fun, light, and definitely for the whole family, this male Cinderella love story-comedy is penned by award-winning writers, headed by Rody Vera and Zig Dulay; and directed by Adolf Alix Jr. with Rember Gelera.

Conan My Beautician debuts on June 26, Sundays at 5 p.m. and one of GMA7’s presentation for its 66th anniversary.
