Seasoned actor Albert Martinez is set to star in Las Hermanas, a drama series to be fielded in the afternoon block of GMA-7. The soap is Albert’s first project in the network after more than a decade.
Las Hermanas was actually included in the Kapuso’s omnibus plug for its 2021 offerings. And we learned that Albert had recently attended a Zoom meeting together with the creative team and production staff of the upcoming show. Details as to the award-winning actor’s role and co-stars are yet to be announced.
To refresh your memory, it was actually with GMA where Albert made his maiden soap as the late Julie Vega’s leading man in Anna Liza, which was very popular during its peak. As the new millennium ushered in, the Kapuso network produced a string of unforgettable and hit drama series where the veteran acting stalwart was included. These were: Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin, Habang Kapiling Ka, and Twin Hearts.
But in 2006, Albert started working for ABS-CBN where he stayed for 14 years. Among his notable Kapamilya programs are: Sa Piling Mo, Maria Flordeluna, Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara, May Bukas Pa, Nasaan Ka Elisa?, La Luna Sangre, Ang Probinsyano, The Good Son, Bagani, Kadenang Ginto, and The General’s Daughter.
This early, many are already excited to see Albert acting again and this time, with GMA.

Viva TV, through its YouTube account recently featured their prized possession Sarah Geronimo who talked about her present status as a married woman.
“Actually, Matteo (Guidicelli) and I just celebrated our first wedding anniversary,” she said. “Based on my experience, marriage itself is a blessing. It’s an opportunity to spend the rest of your life with your loved one—the one whom you chose to be your partner.”
The Pop Queen points out though that married life is not all bed of roses.
“Definitely, it’s also challenging. In my case, it is my big leap towards being an adult. As I always say, it was kind of expedited. This is something which is long overdue. But I guess this is really the plan for me.”
The famous singer-actress-endorser admits that this is the happiest state in her life.
“It’s very rewarding since as I’ve mentioned earlier, you are with the one you love. Then, you have the freedom to choose and decide for yourself. And this time, it’s not just yourself since you already have a spouse. Both of you decide now. You become as one,” Sarah stated.

Donny Pangilinan is happy to be back to his original mother network ABS-CBN after his short stint with the defunct TV 5 musical variety show Sunday Noontime Live (SNL).”
“It’s really nice to be here once again. Definitely, it’s different being a Kapamilya—the spirit here, the people, the environment. It’s just different when you enter the studio premises. I’m glad to be back,” he avers.
The appealing lad is grateful that he once again inked a contract with the Kapamilya.
“First of all, I want to thank God for this blessing. I wouldn’t be here without Him. Then there’s my family and followers who are there for me through thick and thin. I vow to do everything to make you guys proud of me.
“Thank you so much ABS-CBN for the trust and support and also to Star Cinema and Star Magic. I will be forever grateful for this precious chance you’ve given me. I promise to give it my best shot. As I’ve said earlier, I’m glad to be here in my roots that had given me wings to fly.”
What can be expected now that he’s back with ABS-CBN?
“Well, from what I know, I will be given successive projects from films to TV series. My screen partnership with Belle Mariano is also there as we’ll star in numerous projects for our mother studio,” ends Donny.
