Since he entered the scene in 2016, it can be said that LA Santos has successfully carved a name for himself in the local music industry.

Looking back, the talented lad started to make his presence felt by serving as front act for highly established artists like Patti Austin, the Stylistics, Air Supply, and Jukebox royalties Imelda Papin, Claire dela Fuente, and Eva Eugenio. This paved the way for his grabbing a music contract under Star Music.

Dubbed as the “Singing Idol”, he captivated the hearts of music aficionados through his mesmerizing vocal prowess and talent in composing ditties. His self-titled album under Star Records spawned the hit, “Tinamaan” along with other recognizable pieces like “One Greatest Love,” “Miss Terror,” “Ikaw Kasi,” “Bakit Pag-ibig,” “Mine,” and his covers of Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man,” Sarah Geronimo’s “Forever’s Not Enough,” and Angeline Quinto’s “Hanggang Kailan.”

He also successfully headlined his own concert in 2018 titled, #Petmalu at the Music Museum with special guests Jaya, Ian Veneracion, Jona, Michael Pangilinan, Claire dela Fuente, Imelda Papin, Eva Eugenio, and Boobsie Wonderland.

Singer LA Santos continues his musical journey as a record label owner.

In 2019, LA made a revival of the classic OPM song “Isang Linggong Pag-ibig” originally done by Music Queeen Imelda Papin. The latter gave her blessing for LA to remake one of her signature pieces. The millennial take of the song gave a more upbeat and RnB kind of feel for the song which embodies LA as a young adult.

Earlier in October, he was one of the guests in Imelda Papin’s hit show at the Philippine Arena. He also did a concert titled, Three’s A Company in August and in May-June, he flew to Canada for the show Heart and Soul featuring Patti Austin and Ian Veneracion.

Apart from singing, LA has ventured as well in the acting department. He did a supporting part in the movie Maria top-billed by Cristine Reyes and in the independent film Dudurugin ang Droga. He made several guest appearances as well in ABS-CBN programs.

His artistic competence is also recognized by various award-giving bodies. In 2019, he received recognition from the Gawad Amerika Awards. Prior to this, he grabbed the PMPC Most promising Award trophy in 2018 while in 2017, he was adjudged “New Male Artist of the Year” by the Awit Awards.

At present, the young singer-actor has just put up his own music label which he calls 7 K Sounds. He also has a new song titled “Sala sa Lamig” which he co-wrote with Paula Alcasid. He had a series of shows at various SM mall branches and a few more scheduled to be announced soon.
