In the recent media conference for the horror vehicle Huwag Kang Lalabas, which is part of the ongoing Metro Manila Film Festival, Kim Chiu averred that her relationship with Xian Lim remains strong.

Queries about their relationship surfaced when Xian started doing projects for GMA, while Kim remains a loyal ABS-CBN star.

“It’s good that Xian and I support each other. Even if he is with the rival camp now, it doesn’t affect our personal relationship,” Kim said.

Kim maintains that her relationship with Xian Lim remains strong.

The actress and television host admitted that she fully understands her boyfriend’s decision.

“What matters is where he will find a job. Like now, he has an upcoming teleserye. I believe it’s a good decision since things are still hanging in ABS-CBN. We don’t know what will happen next,” Kim said alluding to Xian’s TV project called False Positive opposite Glaiza de Castro.

“The network has no projects for him. We talked about it and he said, ‘Where do I stand?’ So, he is just thankful to GMA for taking notice of him. Where there is work, that’s where he’ll be. We’re just working separately but our relationship is strong. It’s not the whole year that he’ll be in a lock-in taping. It’s just for a month. Actually, it’s just okay if we don’t see each other during that time frame. At least, we’ll be missing each other, right?”

Kim and Xian have been steadies for a decade already. Many are curious if at this point they have wedding plans.

“I believe it’s not right for a girl to talk about marriage especially if the guy hasn’t proposed yet. So, I don’t know about it. The best person to ask is Xian himself,” Kim said.

Asked if she would be ready if Xian popped the question, Kim just smiled and said: “I’ll cross the bridge when I get there. But one thing’s for sure: we love each other.”

Kim Chiu is a scene from Adolf Alix Jr.’s ‘Huwag Kang Lalabas.’

Meanwhile, Kim felt ecstatic when their fil became part of the annual MMFF. Huwag Kang Lalabas is a horror trilogy and she stars in the episode titled “Hotel.” In this episode, she is joined by Jameson Blake, Tina Paner, Allan Paule, Rico Barrera, and Brenda Mage.

Shot in Baguio, the film is directed by Adolf Alix, Jr.

“I committed to this project because I already miss acting. It’s been a while since my last acting assignment. This is quite challenging for me because I’m easily scared in real life. I accepted it without knowing that it will be shown in cinemas and be part of the MMFF. I’m both glad and proud of this development,” ended Kim.
