TV host-actor Luis Manzano confirms reports that current steady Jessy Mendiola is no longer with Star Magic, her talent management for the longest time.
“What I know is that she’s not with Star Magic anymore. I guess, it’s best if her camp will confirm it officially if it’s true or not,” he says.
Talks are rife that the one-time FHM’s sexiest woman allegedly inked a contract with Viva Artists Agency where Luis’ manager June Rufino is an executive.
“Well, as it’s best if she’s the one who sheds light on that. At least, it will come directly from the horse’s mouth, so to speak.”
Interestingly, did Jessy ask his advice on her decision to leave her former talent management?
“She sought advice from me. But let me just clarify that I have nothing to do with her final decision. At the end of the day, it’s still her call. She has her own career and own decision to make.”
Meanwhile, theirs is a strong relationship. In fact, they’re running on their third year as sweethearts. What’s the secret behind it?
“It’s true that at this point, I’m really content with how our relationship is going. For one, we’re so happy. Hopefully, we’ll be able to fly abroad before the year ends for a vacation. It’s in our calendar as a form of relaxation, “ he says.
“As to the secret formula, well, perhaps, it’s the fact that we don’t mind what other people are saying about us. For Jessy and I, our relationship is just for the two of us. I think that’s the most important thing. We’re already in show business so we don’t want to chronicle every single development in our private lives. It’s enough that people know we’re together and there’s no need to overly flaunt it, “ he adds.
Their fans are waiting as to when he’ll finally propose to his lady love.
“As in being engaged? When it comes to that, let’s just wait and see. If it’s going to happen, then it will happen. That’s our take on that. We don’t want to rush things.”
Meanwhile, Jessy wears a new hairstyle at present which the people rave about. From being blonde, she cut her hair short.
“Actually, she let me see the style beforehand. I told her it will suit her perfectly. When I finally saw her in person sporting the hairstyle, it’s like wow! I just loved it. One good thing about Jessy, whatever she does with her hair from the cut to the color, it always suits her,” states Luis.

After Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, it was learned that Dennis Trillo is the next GMA talent who will do a movie with the film arm of his mother studio’s fiercest rival, ABS-CBN.
The material is of the horror genre. Titled, A Family Ghost Story, the plot is about a couple with two kids who lived in a haunted house. The critically-acclaimed actor will share the screen with Beauty Gonzalez, Raymond Bagatsing and Alyssa Muhlach. The project is under the helm of Robert Bonifacio.
It can be remembered that Dennis already did a movie with Regal Entertainment, the romantic drama You’re Still the One opposite Maja Salvador.
This is an exciting development for Dennis who is being tagged as GMA’s Drama King. Although his home studio has given him grand projects, top-billing a movie that will be a commercial hit will add premium to his status as a lead male star. This early, many are already excited with the project.
