After a nearly two-year hiatus in the US following his separation from actress Carla Abellana, Tom Rodriguez has returned to the Philippines and is set to resume his showbiz career.

“Yes, I’m back for good,” Rodriguez declared. “I’m gradually returning to my work. It feels good to be here once again.”

Rodriguez opened up about his time in the US, revealing he spent a simple life in Arizona that aided in his emotional healing. He initially planned a short two-week stay but ended up extending it due to the positive experience.

“To cut the long story short, I really had to take time to fully recover. My long vacation did me good. Now, I do feel that I’m whole again.”

While in the States, the good-looking star learned to perform household chores.

“I enjoyed taking on responsibilities for myself like, maintaining the household, cooking, doing the laundry, grocery and couponing — all those stuff. I simply enjoyed them.”

Admitting that he has already moved on from his split with Carla, is he ready at this point to fall in love again?

“Yes, I do. In fact, I’m seeing someone now. When we started dating, I was already fully recovered emotionally.”

When would he reveal the identity of the new apple of his eye?

Well, at this point, I would just like to keep it to myself. For now, I’ll be selfish. It’s my own. I would limit my sharing to the public. Eventually, they’ll know.”

Apart from going back to doing soaps, Tom will be appearing in Ibarra: The Musical slated to be shown in the second quarter of 2024.

“You know, I’m glad and proud to be offered the role. I’m really been yearning to go back into theater. I’m happy to be given this wonderful opportunity,” he ends.

Lovi Poe recently revealed her birthday wish for her 35th birthday.

“My wish is to be able to perfectly balance life,” Lovi shared. “I know it’s going to be difficult, but I really want to find a healthy balance between my personal life and my work life. I think that’s my biggest wish: to achieve my goals while nurturing my relationship.”

While having children with husband Monty Blencowe is a future possibility, Lovi emphasized their current focus on enjoying their married life.

“Of course, it could happen and that’s definitely something we’d like to work towards in the future,” she admitted. “But right now, there are still a lot of things we want to do together.”

The actress acknowledges she might not be fully prepared for motherhood at this point. “It’s hard to say, right?” she said. “My friends always tell me they’re never really prepared until it happens. So, I can’t honestly say I’m completely ready. But whenever it does happen, I’ll make sure I am prepared.”
