Actress Kim Rodriguez spoke her truth regarding cheating allegations with basketball player Marc Pingris.
The rumors swirled after photos of them at similar locations—a fries stand and the Sydney Opera House—went viral.
Kim addressed the allegations through her manager, Ogie Diaz. She explained she visited the fries stand while traveling to Subic with friends.
“I went there, I had a stopover there because I was on my way to Subic with my friends. As for Marc Pingris, I don’t know when that is,” Kim stated.
She emphasized that whoever took the photo could confirm they weren’t together.
“Even if you ask that girl there if Marc Pingris and I were together or if she saw both of us at the same time, I’m sure she knows the truth,” she added.
Regarding Australia, Kim clarified she was vacationing with friends, and the Opera House is a popular tourist spot where most visitors take pictures.
“Kim told me, ‘Why should I care if Marc Pingris has a picture at the Opera House when I also have a picture’,” Ogie said.
Ogie initially advised the actress to stay silent about the rumors but felt compelled to speak out as a vlogger expected to address audience concerns. He stressed the vlog wasn’t to promote Kim but to share her perspective.
On the other hand, in an Instagram post shared by Marc, he denied the rumors and assured the public his family was doing well. He also requested privacy for his children and respect from the public.
“Walang katotohanan ang mga lumalabas na balita tungkol sa amin ni Ms. Kim Rodriguez. Walang namamagitan sa aming dalawa gaya ng sinasabi ng ibang tao,” wrote Marc.
The former national athlete also said that all is well between him and his wife, Danica Sotto.
“OK kami ng pamilya ko. Wag na po tayo magpakalat ng mga balita na hindi totoo. Humihingi po kami ng respeto para hindi madamay ang mga anak namin ni Danica. Salamat po at God bless po,” he continued.
The celebrity couple gave their wedding vows in 2007 and have three children namely Jean Michael, Anielle Micaela, and Jean-Luc.
