Korean girl group TWICE member Jihyo is reported to be dating Olympic skeleton gold medalist Yun Sung-bin, local media reported on Monday.
According to Korean media outlets, Jihyo and Sung-bin have been dating for a year after being introduced to each other through an acquaintance and became closer due to their shared interest in sports.
In response to the report, Jihyo’s agency, JYP Entertainment, and Sung-bin’s agency, All That Sports, neither denied nor confirmed the dating rumors.
“It is difficult to confirm as it is [the artist’s] personal matter. We ask for your understanding,” said JYP Entertainment in a statement sent to media outlet Newsen.
On the other hand, All That Sports also responded, “As he is no longer an active athlete, we do not manage his personal life. It is difficult to confirm.”
Jihyo and Sung-bin first met on the MBC variety program “Home Alone”.
Jihyo debuted in 2015 as one of the members and the leader of TWICE. In 2023, she made her solo debut with her album, “Killin’ Me Good”.
Meanwhile, Sung-bin, a former skeleton athlete, made history as the first Asian to win a gold medal in the sport at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
