Liza Soberano stuns as presenter at Anime Awards in Tokyo

Actress Liza Soberano stunned the stage as a presenter at the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday, March 2. 

Sharing her red carpet look on Instagram, Liza dazzled in a luxurious orange sequined dress by David Koma, paired with sparkling Jimmy Choo heels. American stylist Maeve Reilly masterminded the striking ensemble. 

“Congratulations to all of the winners of the @animeawards.official 2024 and thank you so

much to @crunchyroll for having me! Can’t wait to be back in Japan,” the actress said in her post.

Several celebrities and fans expressed their awe at the actress’ stunning look, with some also applauding her busting career as she had the opportunity to be a presenter for the awards show.

While previously being at the center of controversies following her take on the local showbiz industry, Liza has been making waves with her red carpet appearances abroad such as the recent Screen Actors Guild Awards, the Moon Rising Gala, and the premiere of her Hollywood debut “Lisa Frankenstein.” 

For the awards show, Liza presented the Best Anime Song award with the nominees being “Idol” by Yoasobi for “Oshi No Ko,” “Kick Back” by Kenshi Yonezu for “Chainsaw Man,” “Seisyun Complex” by Kessoku Band for “Bocchi the Rock!,” “Suzume” by RADWIMPS feat. toaka for “Suzume,” “Where Our Blue Is” by Tatsuya Kitani for “Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: Hidden Inventory/Premature Death,” and “Work” by millenium parade and Sheena Ringo for “Hell’s Paradise.”

“Idol” by pop duo Yoasobi for the supernatural drama anime “Oshi No Ko” took home the Best Anime Song award. 

The Crunchyroll Anime Awards is an annual global event celebrating the finest anime series and films since 2017. Its 8th installment was streamed live on YouTube and Twitch.
