Fresh off from their grand media conference for the upcoming film Under Parallel Skies, Thai actor Win Metawin and Filipino actress Janella Salvador shared valuable insights on the importance of perseverance and staying true to oneself on their journeys to stardom.

Despite their young age, both have been carving their names in their respective entertainment industries, and their experiences offer wisdom for aspiring stars and anyone chasing their dreams.

In an interview with the local press on April 2, the Under Parallel Skies stars shared what they had learned in life so far.

For the 26-year-old Janella, it might take time but with hard work, everything will be worth it.

“Hard work always pays off. That’s one of them. I don’t know if I need to say more. Hard work always pays off,” she stressed.

Janella made her showbiz debut when she starred in the hit morning series Be Careful With My Heart in 2012, as Nikki Grace Lim, daughter of Richard Yap’s character, Sir Chief. She continued to make her name in the Philippine showbiz with her versatility in acting and giving justice to what she portrayed.

On the other hand, Win stressed the importance of continuous growth and improving yourself in what you do.

“Never stop leveling up yourself. No matter how hard you go, you have to keep leveling up yourself and doing your best,” said Win.

Since day one, fans have witnessed how Win continues to prove his place in the entertainment scene. From his notable character Tine in the hit BL (boys’ love) show, 2gether The Series to Kavin and Guy from the Thai adaptations of Boys Over Flowers and My Beauty Newbie, respectively, the Thai superstar showed that he could pull off no matter what role it is.

Talking about his latest role as Parin, Win described the upcoming film as a dream come true for him.

“I always dreamed that if I had a chance, I would collaborate with international people, an international film. Now, today, my dream came true already, so why not? So I thought that I could do it, and now I had a chance to do it,” Win explained.

Meanwhile, Janella shared that she had learned a lot from portraying the character of Iris.

“Challenging to portray, but I loved every bit of it because madami akong natutunan bilang OFW si Iris,” said Janella.

As his first time working with a foreign crew, Win praised the undeniable talent of Filipinos when it comes to singing, emphasizing that he was impressed by everyone’s ability on set. “One thing I’ve realized is that all Filipinos, everyone on the set, they can sing very well. That made me very impressed, you know, like literally everyone,” he stated.

Win is set to return to Manila on April 16, for the premiere night of Under Parallel Skies at SM Megamall.

Helmed by award-winning director Sigrid Andrea Bernardo, the film premiered globally at the 17th Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong. It is scheduled for theatrical releases across the region in the following weeks starting April 17 (Philippines), May 1 (Singapore), and May 9 (Thailand).
