ABS-CBN’s ‘It’s Showtime’ is officially moving to GMA Network’s main channel starting April 6
GMA Network and ABS-CBN Corp. announced a groundbreaking collaboration that will see the popular noontime variety show It’s Showtime air on GMA beginning April 6.
The announcement came after a contract signing ceremony held at the GMA studios, attended by top executives from both networks and the hosts of the noontime show including Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, Karylle, Amy Perez, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta, Darren, Ryan Bang, Ion Perez, Jackie Gonzaga, MC, Lassy, and Cianne Dominguez.
During the contract signing GMA Network was represented by its chairman Felipe L. Gozon, President and CEO Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong, and Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and GMA Films President and CEO Annette Gozon-Valdes.
ABS-CBN was represented by Chairman Mark L. Lopez, President and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak, Chief Operating Officer Cory V. Vidanes, and Group Chief Financial Officer Rick B. Tan.
“We thank our loyal viewers for their unwavering support for almost 15 years and look forward to connecting with new audiences as ‘It’s Showtime’ embarks on a new journey in creating more unforgettable FUNanghalian moments together on GMA, GTV, GMA Pinoy TV, and all other platforms it is currently seen,” ABS-CBN said in a statement expressing its gratitude to GMA Network for opening its doors and providing a new platform for the show.
It’s Showtime will continue airing on GMA Pinoy TV, while GTV will still feature reruns of the program.
The noontime show previously aired on ABS-CBN before the network’s shutdown in 2020. On the other hand, it first began airing on GMA’s GTV in July 2023, marking a milestone for national television.
