Benjie Paras was officially introduced as the new co-host of businesswoman Anna Magkawas in the new season of the business talk show Negosyo Goals, which now airs on GTV.
Speaking to Manila Standard Entertainment, Paras said that it was easy “yes” for him to accept the offer because of two things: Negosyo Goals is now on GTV, the sister company of his home studio; and he wanted to develop his skills in hosting.
“I think they didn’t have a choice,” Paras said in jest when he and Magkawas faced members of the media at a restaurant in Malabon City. “I’m at home, this is GTV. This is also where I work.”
Paras is known as a basketball player, comedian, and sports analyst, so it’s a big challenge for him to be a co-host of a business talk show.
“When I started in basketball, which is very different from showbiz, basketball is about self-discipline. Sleeping early, proper diet. In showbiz, our work is always late at night, and meal times are irregular. Learning through experience. I am so very happy and very privileged to have worked with many veteran artists; that’s where I learned,” Paras stated.
“I had a business, a food chain, but it stopped. For me, I’m not the one who can help. I’m the one who will be helped by hosting Negosyo Goals, just in case I also want to have a stable business,” he went on.
For Magkawas, she stated that it was not difficult for them to convince paras to join the show.
“I am super happy because he opened his door to be part of Negosyo Goals,” she said.
As for the new season, the entrepreneur shared that the program promises to have an engaging lineup of participants, featuring successful business owners, seasoned corporate leaders, and subject matter experts from diverse fields.
