SB19’s Justin surprises his fans with his debut single “surreal,” now available via Sony Music Entertainment. With this release, Justin officially embarks on a solo career as a recording artist.

The single, which the P-pop star composed two years ago, is a lighthearted anthem that captures the beauty of significant aspirations and serendipity. In his own words, “Portraying how, when we face major changes in our lives, seemingly impossible dreams become achievable through the perfect combination of hard work, dedication, and the right timing.”

The song is a collaborative effort between Radkidz’s Josue and Pablo, where both producers enhance Justin’s first attempt at introducing his own brand of music. Their main goal was to ensure that Justin’s vision was compassionately and carefully understood by his listeners.

The single also features Gelou from girl group Yara

During an interview at the single’s private launch held on Feb. 27, guests had the chance to watch the single’s four-minute dreamy music video, which also showcases Justin’s personal interpretation of the song through visuals.

“Actually, ever since I was a child, growing up, it’s like there’s something special with nature, forests, and trees. I don’t know why, but there’s something that I always like whenever we go on vacation, it’s like I want to be in the forest,” Justin said of the inspiration for his visual for the single.

Justin expressed his gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support, explaining that “surreal” refers to the experience of having someone who shares “your vision and imagination.”

The catchy yet laid-back song also features Gelou from the Filipino girl group Yara on the bridge and final chorus. Gelou, a friend and colleague of Justin, adds a unique dimension to the track with her additional vocals.

When asked about his decision to release “surreal” and do a solo project, Justin said that he was hesitant at first. But with the support of his fellow SB19 members, he finally found the courage to showcase his own work.
