Controversial actor Daniel Padilla inked a new contract with ABS-CBN recently and was welcomed by top executives of the country’s leading content producer.
During his special “Forever Kapamilya” contract signing, Daniel expressed his gratitude to ABS-CBN executives, industry mentors, co-workers, brand partners, family, friends, fans, and the people who have been instrumental in his career and personal growth.
“I would like to thank my bosses for the trust and genuine love that you give. Thank you very, very much,” Daniel expressed.
President and CEO Carlo Katigbak gave a meaningful message to Daniel, saying, “When we lost our franchise, you texted me, ‘Thank you for fighting. You’ve done everything you could. Now, leave it to God.’ So, Deej, I return your message to you. You are a diligent person, a talented artist, and a child who loves his family. Strive to be the best version of yourself, and then leave it to God. I’m sure you will achieve bigger and better successes and become what God has destined you to be.”
COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes also thanked Daniel for his loyalty to ABS-CBN over the past 15 years and commended the actor.
“We are forever grateful that we have a Daniel Padilla as a Kapamilya and we will forever be your Kapamilya. Supremo but grounded, supremo but generous, supremo but compassionate. Mahal ka namin, DJ,” she said.
Also present at the contract signing were ABS-CBN chairman Mark Lopez, Star Magic head and Entertainment Production head Laurenti Dyogi, and CFO Rick Tan Jr., manager Capt. Luz Bagalacsa, and mother Karla Estrada.
Meanwhile, Daniel revealed some of the projects that he will be doing, including new music that he will create.
“I’ll make music first. I’ll create music first. I’ll have something with Ely Buendia. There are things to be done. It’s still a secret. Let’s keep it a secret for now,” Daniel said.
The Kapamilya star also confirmed the continuation of his film project with Zanjoe Marudo and John Arcilla. Additionally, Daniel teased a potential project with Maricel Soriano, though discussions are still ongoing.
