Actor Enchong Dee is set to make his international film debut in 2024. The actor revealed the news during a recent showbiz event.
“I always say that every year, you’ll be able to experience and do something fresh. So, I think it’s safe to say that I will shoot my first international movie come February,” he said.
The film, which will be directed by director Brillante Mendoza, is still under wraps. However, Dee hinted that it would be a different kind of role for him.
“It’s definitely not going to be anything like I’ve done before,” Enchong said. “I’m looking forward to challenging myself and taking on a new role.”
Who are his co-stars in this ambitious silver screen offering?
“I still can’t divulge as of now,” Enchong admitted with a hint of excitement. “But the last time we were in Los Angeles, Direk Brillante told me that I can share that we’ll be doing a big project next year. Besides, we just waited for the end of the actors’ strike in Hollywood. Now that it’s over, we can start recruiting SAG (Screen Actors’ Guild) actors to be part of the cast.”
So, there will be Hollywood actors in the movie?
“Yes! That’s why I’m very excited!” Enchong exclaimed. “I feel that it will be the highlight of my 2024.”
Meanwhile, Enchong is currently busy promoting his new film. He is part of the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival entry GomBurZa. He shares the bill with Cedrick Juan and Dante Rivero in the movie.
Jona joins Viva Artists Agency
Kapamilya singer Jona is now officially part of the Viva Artists Agency (VAA). The 34-year-old singer recently inked a contract with the talent management agency.
Jona shared that she is happy and excited about this new chapter in her career. She also said that she hopes to venture into acting again now that she is with Viva.

She made sure to ask permission from her ABS-CBN bosses first, and they were understanding about her decision.
“I made sure first that I asked permission from my ABS-CBN bosses and I’m glad that they understood,” Jona stated.
